Ozone is bi valent oxygen O3. Ozone therapy effect is as follows: oxygen content growth caused by ozone leads to energy generation enhancement in cells. In the course of ageing content of oxygen in blood and thus in tissues descends. Consequently immune system weakens. Ozone therapy enhances human body’s natural healing strength by means of improved energy provision and ipso  facto it increases immune protection, supports blood supply and prevents inflammations. As a result of ozone therapy antioxidants and free radical acceptors are induced and activated (COD-enzymes, Catalase glutathione peroxidase and reductase) and body’s antioxidant capacities are increased. The indications in orthopedics are as follows: first of all, there are inflammatory processes such as, e.g., arthritis and reactivated arthrosis, muscle tension, myogelosis and trigger spots, vessel diseases as well as ageing processes.
